Default 307 1.6 16v Click/pop when steering

Hello all..
Well here's my latest problem with the 307
Whilst in motion irrespective of speed, i get a clicking noise to me sounds like its coming from the passenger side whilst steering.

If i make a left turn i get a click/pop noise and when its corrected to straight wheels or followed by turning to the right i get the same click noise again the sound will only occur once depending which way i turn, and it will only occur in the wet when raining, the noise is quite loud and pronounced, ive recently had a gearbox repair a few months back so i assume this is from the same side location after its been tampered with...

i havent heard it click when dry steering so i would also assume that the weight shift of the vehicle whilst turning is a primary cause!

Ive been told this could either be a plastic washer which wears out under there or a faulty CV joint.
Can anyone shine a light or advise of similar experiences

Regards
Pete

Check if the wing liner is rubbing off the tyre.

Hi there, thanks for your response, I cant see that either of the liners are coming into contact with the tyre, the fault only occurs when its wet, all the clips seem to be tightly home :S

Yes. They rub off the tyre quite alot on these cars. They are fitted pretty loosely.
