Default 2003 307 HDI 90 Not starting

Hi,

My car struggled a bit yesterday morning to start. This morning it tried briefly but now all I get is the ignition lights and no attempt to start when i turn the key.
It will start with a bump in 2nd.
The battery is fully charged.

Any ideas? I'm thinking starter motor stuck maybe? I've given it a tap with a hammer but still no good.

are there any common faults with connections??

Thanks in advance

Any words of wisdom before I rip out the old starter motor?

For you professional mechanics does the symptoms sound like the starter motor?

Anyone???

Cheers

Before pulling starter out check its connections and the gearbox earth. Also check power to starter solinoid (can use a bulb to earth).

There are some issues with starter motor fuse blowing on various models when the starter gets old (sure there was an offical upgrade to a 25 amp fuse from 20 amp)
