Default 2.0 feline 180 do i need a new cambelt

Hi I've recently bought a 2005 (55 plate uk) 307 feline 180, 2.0 litre petrol, it's done 33,000 miles and there was no mention of a new cambelt being fitted from the dealer and nothing in the log book. My workmate reckons it might need doing, does anyone have an idea about this, service intervals etc and what I can expect to pay for the job.

There is a link somewhere on here with all the intervals, but I can't find it right now.

Is that just specific to the 307?

Because the interval for the 2.0HDI with DPF (136bhp) on the 407 is definitely 160k miles or 10 years.... confirmed by Peugeot when I asked after buying mine.

No it is not specific it is just a list I found when from a company selling cambelts. I accept they have an ulterior motive as I would expect a belt to last 5yrs min. Personally I get them changed whenever I buy a new car to be sure. Then again I never buy new cars, just new to me
