Default New pug owner 2 issues

hi all im new to pugs. just got a 306 meridian estate 2.0 hdi
its secind hand but drives great compaired to my old car.
i have 2 things i need to sort first being the noise com9ng from behind the dash drivers side its like a high pitch whining sound comes when driving or sitting still occasionally goes away and comes back any idea on this?

second issue is the passenger side window will not work from eather switch cannot even hear it try to work is this a simple fix / common problem.
im sorry if these have been asked befor im terrible at searching.

Have you checked the fuses in relation to the window ? seems like the first thing to check. As for the noise, sorry can't help.

Most common electrical fault on 306`s is a broken wire in the loom from the A post to the door.Unscrew the multi plug,peel back the gaiter and check all the wires.Could also be a "green" connection in that multi plug.

Thinking about that noise in the dash,it may be related to the window fault?
Could it be a buzzing relay.You will find them in the fuse box by your right knee.
