Default Instrument panel replacement 306

My friend has a 1999 306 XR 1,6 with some problems with the instrument panel.
The type of panel in his car is this one:

Is it then possible to change to the type of panel that has an oil leve gauge?
If, will the oil level gauge work on his car, since it doesn not have this on the original panel?

the only answer is, try it and see???
I doubt very much that it will work. The above is the early dash, the lower is from the face lift models.More than likely the multi plugs will be different due to different wiring looms. Also does your 306 have a speedo cable?? face lift models have electronic speedo`s.

My frinds 306 is from 1999. It does not have a speedo cable, pure electrics and digital odo meter.
