Default Buying Peugeot 306 year 2000~

Hi, I, just got driving licence and now Im trying to buy an old car since I dont have
That much money yet. Last week I saw Peugeot 306 year 2000, with some epic 16 or 17" rims
It looks so awesome.

My question is, is it worth of buying that old car with around 170.000 km for like 500?

Which engine type and size?

For reference, a 306 diesel with under 100,000 miles on the clock will easily fetch 1000, if not more.

Hard to say without knowing what country you're in and what kind of demand there is for that particular model and specification.
