Default 306 Interior fan fault

Hey guys,

New to the forums and first post.
My partner has just recently purchased
a 99 306, she's madly in love with it.

However, the interior fan has decided
that it only wants to operate on the slowest
setting irrespective of how the fan speed control
is set.

Is there a common problem with fan resistor
modules on these cars? I work on alot of BMW's
and I know its a common fault on them.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Nice forums to by the way

Hi and welcome to the forum
Its a fault with the blower motor, its the resistors.you wont need to remove facia panel.the resistor is located passenger side below windscreen under scuttle..(outside)..under plastic grill held by hex scews...then under heater flap to the left .a bit awkward but you can feel for it...unplug cable block first.note the way it is situated.
