Default 306 Faulty Fuel Guage??

My Girlfriend has a 97 306 Cab... The fuel gauage is currnetly showing nearly empty and the orange light is on, despite the tank being full!!

ts been like this for a while now.. how can i fix it... will it be the tank sender or the clocks themselves?

The trip mileage keeps resetting itself as well!! due to drive to scotland in a couple of weeks so need to fix it before!!

Any helps??

ps hi.. first post lol

It'll be the sender unit itself the gauge and the light are on different curcuits from the sender. If the sender isn't working properly then you'll have a problem with both.

Be very careful removing the float as they bend and break easily.
