Exclamation 306 1.9TD 'Meridian' model

Does anyone know if the cooling system is known to have problems on the 306 1.9 TD?

As i have had nothing but problems for the past 2 months, bought a new radiator and a new lower hose (the awkward one that goes to the back of the engine). The join between the pipe and radiator has a little metal clip which isn't holding the pipe to the radiator properly causing it to leak every now and again.

Is it a clip as in the spring clip that clamps on the outside of the hose that you use pliers for? I'm trying to remember what mine was like however there were several different radiators fitted to the Same engine.
