Default My cars in for a 3 day ceramic paint protection

Collect it tomorrow night, but the detailer has sent me a worrying photo. He has measured the paint on the bonnet to be 56 microns. He tells me almost every other car he's done (and he's done lots) average around the 120 mark.

Thanks Peugeot

Well the first thing that struck me with previous 508 was how thin the colour layer seemed to the naked eye. I'm no longer surprised. Must be a cost matter.

also, the roof seal is stressed and looking like it will crack....just like the 2017s and 2018s did. Thought they'd finally fixed that issue.

Wonder if I can put something on it, or over it to help.

My roof seal was replaced twice free of charge, under warranty, because of the same problem. I have the 2017 version. You also should ask for a replacement.

I hear it's not an easy job to do? Don't they have to pretty much remove all the headlining and glass

Oh, I don't know how easy it was to do the job, but I know it took about 3 hours.

Which coating is the detailer using?
Please add a photo if you can...I'm having mine done when it arrives.

Gtechniq

It's having full prep, ceramic, glass and alloys

The detailer usually posts photos and a video

I did the interior myself a couple of weeks ago (fabric guard v2 and leather guard)

Also very keen to hear and see of your experience having this ceramic coating done.

My 'duty' of checking the car for birds mess throughout the day continues until I find a better solution!
