this might sound strange but its for a good reason so bear with me im trying to trace a fault and need to know if the engine will turn over on the key if I unplug the ecu completely
water in ecu,it went daft relay clicking in and out in engine bay, revcounter flicking up and down when it was running and gen light on and it wouldn't turn over on key ,ive moved the ecu as the bulkhead design is a Peugeot disaster it just directs water into the fusebox and battery box
I know it's been said a thousand times already, but it's always worth checking. Engine compartment fusebox, particurlarly the middle block connector. Water tracks up from a faulty screen washer pump into the fusebox and causes weird intermittant problems. If you have water in the fusebox connectors, you need to change the washer pump (£30), and sometimes the fusebox itself (£60 scrap, £180 new). Associated problems, intermittant ABS lamps, engine temp warnings, airbag, engine faults etc.
