Hi

Just had a shiny new battery fitted to my 1.6 hdi blu 308. 2015
Also had my Adblue filled (10l)
All done at Halfords

Issues (2 of them)

Urea warning still comes up. Does this go away in time?

When I lock the car, the alarm goes off, every time.
I tried the bsi reset procedure a few times, but still off it goes?

Do I have to go to the dealers for this after getting these changes done?

If the alarm sounds after locking then it must be seeing something open like bonnet switch for example i dont mean the bonnet is open i mean the alarm THINKS the bonnet is open.

Not saying it is bonnet im just using that as an example.

Urea warning probably needs reset

Aha, I saw that post, and like Moby Dick, without the epilogue, the rest didn’t make sense.

Thanks for that. I will be doing my normal 60 mile commute tomorrow so that added to today’s jaunting should give a positive outcome.

Took the car in for 8:30 this morning for a 30 min diagnostic.
Should have been plenty of time. But I was still there at 12:30.
They had cleared the Adblue warning but not the alarm.
Took me home in a courtesy car and at 3:30 I got a call that is was all done.
Apparently they had issues uploading firmware to the car as it kept stopping part way through.

£144 lighter, a forced day off work and an unhappy boss I have the car back working again.

Not happy. Routine operations on this car always seem to cause an over extended stay at the dealers. Even for recalls they don’t have the part in and only tell me when my car is in bits in the workshop.
Unfortunately there is no other dealer about so I am stuck with them.
Shame coz I really like the car and overall it’s been good to me
