Default SW Front lower ball joints

Hi guys, just how easy is this job to do ?? I have replaced lower wishbones on other cars but just asking before I start a job and hit a problem. Is it easier to replace just the ball joint or the while arm ?? Are there any special tools I will need ?? And is a torque wrench a necessity??

Cheers

The ball joints can be a pain in the balls, so to speak.

It took me and a helper an hour to get one off, after using a lot of heat, an air impact ratchet, a scaffold bar and a lot of swearing.

Sometimes they can come off nice and easy. It's down to luck I guess.
