Default Side-to-side play in brake pedal

Hi,

Car is a 207 GT THP 150.

I've had this car for about a year now, and recently I've noticed there being a lot of play in the pedal. Every time I hit a bump the pedal rattles and sends vibrations through to the clutch pedal as well. See video:

Any ideas on how to fix this, or why it's come loose in the first place?

The bushing has failed on top of it. Its from driver levering themselves out of the car with their foot on the pedal usually.
Seen it loads on clutch pedals also. The post service in ireland are always breaking clutch pedals as they do loads of stop starts.
