Default Problems with my 207

I've just bought a 56 plate 207 a few weeks ago. It started to overheat and water was leaking. It's been to the garage today and it's the worst case scenario,it needs a new engine. Has anyone had a second hand engine fitted? Any advice? Thanks.

I'd ask for my money back personally.

I believe that in law, there is at least a 3 month period where yo can return the car and get a full refund. I think this also applies to a private sale and the phrase 'Sold As Seen' isn't any excuse if problems were not made known to you at the time of purchase.

There are some members who have a much better understanding of consumer rights than I have who will likely tell you were you really stand on this.

Whilst you're aggrieved that you were sold a car with a problem, have you considered getting a second opinion on the "new engine" diagnosis?
