Default The Peugeot car

Now peugeot cars use these words can anyone tell me what they mean

Also some of the peugeot cars have fog lights in front, alloy wheels, and some don't but most of the cars i have seen come with a 14", 15", 16" wheels what is the right size wheel is for a 207 or 307 from 2006 to 2007

peugeot 207 verve
peugeot 207 Ubran
peugeot 207 S
peugeot 207 SE
peugeot 207 SW
peugeot 207 GTI
peugeot 207 VTI
peugeot 207 HDI
peugeot 207 CC
peugeot 207 sport

They are all different trim levels, body types and engine specifications.

Verve will be the entry level with the lowest spec
SW is the Sport Wagon - read estate version
GTi & VTi will probably be the sportier versions with a better trim level
HDi is a diesel engine
CC I think is the cabriolet coupe

So what is Ubran and S is there any differents?

What is 8V mean? 75bhp? and 16v mean? 90bhp so what is better for a car? with a 1.4 engine

One that i don't know is the road tax for a peugeot 207 S 1.4 16V 90bhp? i was told it is 135.00 a year then someone told me it's 170.00 a year now i am confused even more?

Most manufacturers seem to use 'S' as entry level 'GTI' as sporty trim level and some posh word like 'elegance' or 'Ghia' as the top level other than that they just release a "limited Edition" with a name that they think will help sell more cars at that time. If memory serves me correctly renault released and MTV version of the Clio a couple of years back as everybody was into the MTV awards etc it just looked like a bogo version with some MTV stickers on the side. I would suggest that if you are looking for a new car tell the dealer what level of trim you want and they will advise which car to go for as sometimes the larger the car the more kit you get as standard, or if you are looking to buy used then read the adverts for the spec as people are constantly adding to the spec levels themselves as they can save money doing it themselves. I for example bought the Aux in lead for my car and got it activated cost me a total of 60 but i'd bet as a dealer option it would have cost more and my neighbour added an arm rest to his Nissan duke for 100 as he bought the part and fitted it himself it was a 250 optional added extra

Thank you for the infor on the trim, is it possible to put fog lights on the S 207? i know i will have to buy the front bumber with them build in from "Silverlakes" when they have my colour,

Don't see why not, I assume that Silverlakes is a breakers? if so when you get the bumper pay a little extra and get the loom, relays and switches etc etc and if you come across any issues im sure someone on here will be happy to help

to be honest looking at those figures all you need to know is this:

1) If you can afford high road tax get a GTi
2) if you can't afford high road tax get a HDi

My 307 1.6 HDI 90 cost 55 to tax for 6 months so for 12 months it would be 100.

A 207 1.4 HDI is 30 a year tax while a 1.4 petrol is 170 a year tax.

The diesel is 70BHP while the petrol is 90BHP. Bit of difference in the emissions which bumps up the road tax nearly 600%

In Ireland we get none of these trim badges. It only seems to be UK.
Seems you lot like sporty trim levels and sparkly badges.

yep, it makes little sense to pick a small petrol engine over a small diesel engine these days for economy reasons

any idea what the more important torque figures are on those engines, tbh I doubt anybody can feel the difference between a 70bhp car and a 90bhp car anyway
