Default Peugeot 207 head problem

Hi, I'm doing a head gasket job on my Peugeot 207 1.4 8v and when I took the head off I noticed a little round cylinder almost the same shape as one of the rollers does anyone have any clue where this goes??? Thanks😁

that sounds like one of the head dowels, used to locate the head onto the block.

If you look at the underside of the head and find a hole it's a snug fit with then look at the mating face of the block. You should see a matching hole, usually with a recessed lip for the dowel to sit on.

Hope this helps, if not, a pic would help confirm.

Hi thanks for your reply unfortunately it doesn't seem to fit snug anywhere I will attach a pic to help determine where it's from, also as I did not use locking pins will I just need to put the locking pin in when the head is back on and line the marks on the crank shaft
