Default Peugeot 207 auto oil question

Hi can anyone help I have a,peg 207 07 plate done 35,000 only had 3 months anti pollution and engine light come on had diagnostic yesterday mechanic,done oil change as says my oil was contaminated like thick black tar done engine flush an oil change light back on today says now needs,a new chain belt as contaminated oil has knocked the timing out anyone had the same

How many oil changes has it had in the service history?

In the service book I got its had 3 service when I nought in Feb they said done a service but mechanic yesterday said nit serviced in march ad oil was like black tar

If the car has Variable Timing Ignition (VTI) the mechanic could well be right.
The top camshaft sprockets have especial channels built into them to alter the ignition timing, these channels are especially designed and any tar deposits will silt them up.
