Default Peugeot 207 1.6 gt code faulty p0172

Hi everyone.. When I start car rattles, change new spark plugs, all coils. Clean all sensors. Still is same. When car drive is OK, only when is stop rattle, any I'd please thank you

Sounds like the common timing chain or tensioner fault. Get it looked at as soon as possible as if the chain jumps or snaps it will do major damage to engine

Don't know maeby ecu problem? Got new coil pack spark plugs. Both lamba sensors.. Still same.. Maeby fuel injectors. Please any I'd thank you

Take the cam cover off to check chain condition and tension

Everything is fine. Can't be problem with this because when u drive. Its driving fine only when u leave car running is rattles

Hi guys the chain is in good condition.. Do u think I need swap the timing, do I need swap both one is electric other one is normal.. Thank you

with all due respect, looking at the chain doesn't give u indication if timing is fine or not.

P0172 is a tricky code on these engines, can be a number of things causing it.

with the rattle u mention, I would want to have the timing checked properly
