Angry Knocking front passenger side

I had a knocking noise from the front passenger side that was evident when on an uneven road and when turning right but no noise when travelling straight on a smooth road or when turning left.

Took to a local garage and had two cracked front coil springs. Had them changed and when I picked the car up and drove away there was an even worse knocking and squeeking sound coming from the front. rang mechanic and they advised it may be that the spring hadn't bedded in properly but that there was nothing else they saw wrong. this noise stopped after parking but the original knocking noise was still there as before

Went to take it back on the Monday morning but no luck as they were off on holiday Lost confidence in going back to them but will if I find that they haven't fitted correctly

Took it to a Halfords autocentre as they were offering a free check and they couldn't find anything wrong except for a little play in the drop link on that side. had that changed and still no luck. they too said couldn't see anything else wrong

I have noticed that now when turning right as well as the noise it feels like i'm driving a shopping trolley as the steering doesn't feel tight enough.

I've seen other posts that suggest it could be the top mount or that the spring on that side may not have been fitted/seated correctly

Going back to a different garage that is a Peugeot specialist on Thursday and we'll see what they say

Any advice in advance would be great

make sure you let us know, regarding drop links i have found the only real way to check for slight play is to undo a bolt and test by hand, the link one side then rock the roll bar and listen for the other side.
Did one not long ago, the knocking sounded o/s but it was link n/s was gone and the noise traveled up the roll bar.

so the update is that it was "a mess under there"

New shock absorber and new top mount bearing

How can the first two garages miss this????????
