Default key brings up "anti-Theft Faulty"

hi, new to Peugeots so please be easy on me
just got this 207 from the auction,
one key works ok but bring up " Remote Battery Low" tested the battery and its 3Volts so should be ok, so having read around on the forum I think it just needs a reset of the key ?
the second key locks/unlocks the doors, but brings up the "anti-theft faulty" alarm on the dash and car won't start, can I do anything with this key, any kind of reset or something ?
thanks

The 2nd key is just a spare to get inside the car in case you lock your keys in....

You can purchase a Transponder chip, to fit inside the spare key case, which can be programmed and recognized by the car, which will allow it to start.
New Virgin ID46 Transponder Chip for Peugeot Citroen | eBay

You will need a session with either a Peugeot dealer ( £bumrape.. ) or a member here that can do it using PP2000 in exchange for beer tokens.

Do you have a 4 digit PIN number on a sort of credit card somewhere in the vehicles history/handbook etc? You will need this code to programme the chip. If not then the PIN code can be obtained for a few quid here;
Car Key Codes - Car Key Codes specialize in Car Key codes and Radio for Peugeot,Citroen,Key Codes for Nissan,Kia,Hyundai,Jeep,Dodge and Chrysler. ( Bettyswollocks on this forum is this websites captain )

Hope this helps.
