Default Intake air temperature

2009 Peugeot 207cc 1.6 vvt/vti ep6c engine
Ok is it right the the intake air temperature should be close to the temperature of the coolant and am I correct in think that the air temp sensor is part of the throttle body?
At 90 oC my air temp only got to 58 oC after driving 18miles

No they should not be the same air temp sensor is integrated into MAP sensor on rear of inlet manifold.

Temp looks a bit high should be quite close to external air temp unless you are sitting stationary with a hot engine etc and/or intake trunking is not fitted or damaged allowing underbonnet air to be inducted.

Yeh it was sat but driving it gradually was creeping up was at about 34
But car is over fuelling

You would need lower temps not higher for overfueling as hot air is less dense it would result in less fuel being injected. What is coolant temp reading and is pre cat lambda switching

Pre cat lamdas a wideband/af sensor
But rear sensor stays weak and go's rich when I slow down but only switches occasionally.
It's been over fuelling for sometime I did change cat both lamdas map sensor spark plugs air filter timing chain oil change
But still getting the smell of fuel through exhaust
Inlet and exhaust solinoids are clean but both are running 10% less than target value don't know if that'll effect it?
But then car seems to run really well
No fault codes either

Even with wide band if closed loop ecu should still be showing it switching between rich/lean.

How does the car run when first started from cold does it hunt or idle OK.

I had a major issue with daughters car when i disconnected the battery for a day to change clutch, it appeared to reset adaptives and because i did not know i did run it through the relearn procedure so the wrong values were stored which caused major overfueling when cold.

Maybe worth a shot as lambdas been changed etc. Diagbox details process when you select adaptives reset.

Yeh I've had it on pp2000 and the suggest range is 1500 mv which it does fluctuate around that figure but does not show any rich/lean switching

not 100% on this but book does say inlet air temprature sensor is built into the throttle.
not removed one so dont know if its a map or tmap sensor or could be for a different engine.

found air in system caused overfuel on ours so check for leaks squeese pipes and bleed, coolant temprature sensor faulty?

Coolant temp sensor seems to read ok although may read a few degrees out compared to what pp2000 reads might change it out anyway,
When you say you found air in your system that caused over fuel do you mean in you coolant system

yes she had 3 very small leaks, header tank, header tank lower pipe join and rad.
this caused air to get into the system and the temp sensor didnt like it, so although the temp gauge read ok it was running with excess like steam out of the tailpipe, running rich.

fixed leaks and bled, it then took 5-10 miles for the ecu to relearn and or burn off water in backbox and been fine since.
