Default Hellpppppp

Hi all just took our 207gt to the garage due to de pollution fault....codes been read and it's a po559 ( thermostat short circuit) he also said it could be low on fluid (similar to ad blue) I assumed only diesels had this type of fluid please tell me if I'm wrong..

car doesnt over heat and when fault pops up fan runs all the time and loose of power..

any ideas I have asked someone to read it with planet Peugeot but no luck so far..

Do you know this garage?

It looks like they are taking the mickey - go somewhere else.

Sounds like dodgy temperature sensor - the car will think the engine is too hot - adjust the fuel/air ratio accordingly - causing the pollution fault - running the fan.

Would explain why doesn't overheat - does the temp needle move into normal range?
