Default Engine misfires when moving off or trying to accelerate at low revs?

I have 1.4 16v 90bhp petrol 07 plate.

When trying to accelerate at low revs (below 2000rpm)

the engine misfires badly, wont accelerate and sometimes stalls.

This has been gradually getting worse for about a year now.

It idles ok and also drives ok only at high revs.

Has anyone heard of this before?

Thanks

I have a very similar problem that has got progressively worse. Three garages and Peugeot themselves cannot find a fault. I have changed the clutch and cat converter, and give it a full service. It ran fine with bk44 fuel additive in the tank but back to same problem the next day. The next step is to check the fuel filter maybe?

Default 207 1.4 75bhp

I am led to believe the fuel filter is near the tank?
When the car was in Peugeot they updated some settings and fixed some minor faults, but the problem remains. I will have to take it back at another cost of 100.

There is no serviceable fuel filter in a petrol 207.

It's a 207 David. I think the fuel injection system needs a thorough clean then the additive added to the tank. Is such a service available?
