Default Dipstick

I've today gone to check my levels,but never seen anything like the dipstick before....it has a bullet shape on the end,then 2 other markers,but can't for the life of me work out which is the min&amazing marks?

On my dipstick there is a cross-hatched section on the plastic end, this section indicates the min & max levels, min at the bottom of the hatch and max at the top of the hatch.

The two "balls" are min and max level indicators

If so then this isn't good!!!!
My oil level is just above the first "ball" and it has just been fully serviced!!
So I'm assuming they've not put enough oil in?
