Default cylinder number 2

Hi all slightly confused

Peugeot 207 1.4 petrol

2nd cylinder is is misfiring it's not the spark plugs nor is it the ignition coil as I've changed both of these what are the other possibilities and how would I go about checking these would it be a mechanical fault or electrical fault

thanks very much

Most likely an injector playing up?
But before you spend more time and money fitting parts to see,get a Peugeot Planet diagnostic check to find out for sure.
Plenty of guys here will help you, https://www.peugeotforums.com/forums/...anet-map-7734/

google the fault codes and make a decision on what ones are faults and what ones are symptoms OF the fault.

I dont think they are all proper codes though possibly from a handheld scanner

could also be a timing fault

Petrol engines have used injectors for a long time. They have a carburettor (or two) if they don't use injectors.

because peugeots software sees ANY fault that could cause pollution as an anti pollution fault basically if your engine is not running properly it will cause pollution so the message comes up.

Anti pollution fault is NOT an actual fault just a generic catch all message to tell you SOMETHING is wrong
