Coolant level warning -207
Hoping that someone can help me.
This is my first post, and although I have searched for the issue I have and not found it, please excuse me if there is a previous thread I have missed.
Here goes -
I have a 2007 1.4 petrol 207.
The coolant level warning is constantly on, with an on screen message and a loud beeping. The warning and sound stop if the headlights are switched on.
The level in the coolant reservoir is absolutely fine.
1) Is this a known and common fault, a sensor maybe?
2) Would it be normal for the warning to go when the lights are on, or does this indicate an electrical issue.
3) Is there any point in me trying to reset the car by taking off the battery, or would this have no effect at all?
I dont know much about cars, but happy to give things a try!
I want to do everything I can before going to a garage, as we live in the middle of nowhere, so its quite an effort to take the car anywhere and a real pain if I have to leave it with a mechanic.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Aways check oil and water by hand , if lights on and levels fine then its a sensor , common problem and cheap fix
