Default anyone got a guide on testing rad fan circuit

hi
not sure if the rad fan is kicking in on my daughters car,
its not over heating, but where she gets home from work only heard the fan running once, on the run she does i'm not sure it would kick in ( town then 15miles on duel carriageway)
just got it in my head that I need to test it
