Default Aftermarket backup camera

I'm looking into mounting a reversing camera on my 207. The models that mount in one of the license plate lights seem suitable, but I wonder how difficult the wiring is.

Has anybody done this on his 207?

You can now buy fully wireless ones check on ebay!
I have also done a full retro-fit OEM conversion posted in 207 forum
Cheers Rick

Thanks, I saw your conversion, but that's with parkings sensors?

A wireless kit might a good solution indeed, that eliminates the need for running the wires through the roof. Still need to wire the camera through the back of the license plate lights and connect it to the reverse light. I was wondering if somene had done this before?

You wire the Rear camera to the reverse light so it powers when your in Reverse,
and the monitor dedicated to Accessories.
If your in a hatch the hardest part is feeding a wire through to the camera you can use a common earth ( car body or from the number plate light, so only a Single positive wire tapped from the reverse globe works.

Cheers Rick

I'm actually thinking of using my smartphone as the monitor (with an USB easycap device), as I'm using the phone for navigation and music already. An older 7 inch tablet may also be an option.

That's what I'm pondering about, how to feed the wire through the boot lid (it's a hatch indeed). I don't want to drill any holes in the lid. I ordered this camera just to see how it works, but the wire does not feed through the light cover it seems.
