Unhappy 57 Plate 1.4 M:Play

Hello All

It's my first timeposting so would appreciate any advice.

My wifes 57 plate 1.4 M:Play 207 is causing us some grief at present, a few weeks ago i noticed a few issues

1) The coolant and fuel temp gauges were not working or not getting up to temp.
2) It started to lose water from the coolant system, about half a pint a week.
3) It would turn over but not start.

Off it went to the main dealer, they diagnosed that water had got into the ecu, they changed the seal and replaced the screws.

Ive checked the coolant it seems low so i have topped again about 1/4 pint.

Today the the car will turn over but not start again.

Anyone got any thoughts before it goes off to the main dealer again?

If water got into the ecu then its toast. What engine have you 8v or 16v? Also you will need a new engine wiring loom.

Ok. Im going on only what you tell me ie that is there was coolant in the ecu. Therefor you will need an engine ecu, engine main wiring loom, a gallon of coolant and a controlled thermostat. Be prepared for big money.
