Unhappy 207cc turbo (petrol) Depollution System Faulty

I've had my 207cc for just over a week now. A few days after buying it the Depollution system faulty sign popped up, it didn't do it every time I drove it and the car drove fine. I took it into the Peugeot garage (I didn't buy it from them but didn't want to risk driving all the way to where I bought it) who ran a diagnostic check, cleaned the cylinders and said it was ok but to keep an eye on it. It was fine for a couple of days but did it again yesterday and it was like there was no power. Luckily I was only a few minutes from home and when I turned the engine off the fan sounded like it was going mad!!
Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? It's still under warranty from the dealer I bought it from, will this be covered?!
Many thanks for any help/advice you can give

Yes, and what's more they are liable under Consumer Law for selling you a defective car and you can return it for them to repair or refund your money.

He just said he cleaned the cylinders. He didn't really explain much else! He asked when the spark plugs had last been done but as I'd only just bought the car I didn't know!

They changed two of the coil packs which seemed to solve the problem. However, the day I went to pick it up the Depollution System Faulty sign came back on.

I just want my car back now

i threw a couple of coils on the daughters as same symptoms and coil codes, but it was the chain, get them to check the chain, tensioner and valve timing.

if thats all ok, ask them about cleaning the inlet valves.

worth noting that our exhaust vanos solenoid was shot at 60k, heat damage from the manifold i suspect, would work intermittently then stick.

of corse it may be something more simple, did you get any codes of them?

you really need to get the codes that were on the car so we can help you properly, otherwise its just gonna go round in circles.

cleaned the cylinders.... ask again what method was used.

Thanks for all your help so far. The Peugeot garage have been most unhelpful in telling me what they actually did with the cylinders so I have no further information to add I'm afraid.
My car is still with the independent dealership I bought it from.
There is no fault code, just Misfire. So I guess it's needle in a haystack time!! They've changed the airflow valve and are looking at 'a couple of other things' They've had my car back for over a month now and I'm getting a little frustrated!
Maybe you can all send me pictures of you driving your 207s in the sunshine, just to cheer me up!!!
