Post 207cc timing belt change???

Just bought a 207cc GT 1.6 16v petrol.Service does not say its had a belt change,its done 43k.Does anyone know or recommend when these should be change on these cars.

If it's VTI engine no belt cams are chain driven

They do two VTI engines classed as 120 BHP non-turbo & 150 BHP Turbo

I would think yours will be classed as the 120 if so chain drive no specific chain change required (there have been issues with chains and tensioners)

if you check your vin and post the 6th to 8th digits (something like 5FW) that will give us engine code and we can then 100% confirm
