Default 207cc starts, judders then cuts out... Help!!

Hi

Hoping someone has some idea as to what's wrong with my Peugeot 207cc.

Started it last Friday, it started, juddered then cut out.

Water is empty although I've not had a leak or any warnings or any over heating.

Economy mode active on dash but it did say entered safe mode the other day.

Anyone have any ideas what it could be??

It's in the garage Wednesday but I'm trying to guess now so I can guess the repair cost

Thanks!!

It would be good to know what engine you have! If the water bottle is empty you definatly have a leak, could be head gasket.

It's fixed
Sensor was faulty. Made my engine think it was hotter than it was hence no water. Also car went into safety mode to stop fuel coming through so that's why it wouldn't start.
