Unhappy 207cc Passenger door window.

I bought a 3 year old 207cc VTi GT a few weeks ago. I'm very pleased with it now that I've cured the dreaded roof rattle and installed a bit of additional sound insulation in the booming boot. But now that the sun's out shining on it I've noticed loads of scratches on the passenger door window, some inside but most outside. I reckon the previous owner had a girlfriend or wife with a hand full of diamond rings, giving it the queen mother wave. Anyway it looks awful when the sun's on them and I was wondering if anybody had ever fitted one and whether or not it was a difficult job? I've just seen one on eBay for 58 but if I'm going to pay somebody to fit it (if it is difficult) I may as well get a new one.

Anybody have an idea how much a new one would be to have fitted?

(PS. There are too many scratches to try to polish them off and some of them are too deep to even try, I can feel them with my fingernail)

Thanks

Don't know about the UK but I'd charge probably 50-60 to fit it and align it correctly. If it not aligned it'll pee water into the car or the short drop mechanism won't work correctly.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'm tempted to get a new one fitted then, then it will be guaranteed against any problems like that. The one on eBay is described as having some scratches anyway so might not be that much better. In any case there's no mad rush as it's cosmetic more than anything else.

Thanks again.
