Default 207CC not starting after running out of fuel

Hey everyone,

My missus has a 207CC & let it run out of fuel it is the 1.6L Diesel.

i have got 2 5L jerry cans filled of diesel & put it in the car but it wont start now which i am guessing it has cut off the fuel to the pump or got air in it, is they a fuel cut off switch anywhere under the bonnet that needs pressing? i am going back to the car later today as it was pitch black last night with no street lighting so just need any advice for when i go back.

Any advice is much appreciated

There should be a procedure in the handbook about how to reprime the engine if you run out of derv.

You need 2 people prime the primer till it feels hard then keep priming while someone cranks engine over this is all you need to do DO NOT start opening injector pipes etc it is not required.

Other option is prime till hard then tow start it either method works.
assume nothing check everything twice !!
