Default 207 cc - intermittent stalling

Hi,

My 207cc, for over a year now, has been 'low revving' and stalling. I have taken it to a selection of mechanics but nobody has nailed it so far. The last thing I had changed was a new battery, but that didn't do anything.

It's a bit hard to describe, but it's usually after driving for a while and then say stopping at a round about/traffic lights etc and the car just stalls.

Also, sometimes, when the car is stationary the revs drop low, but pick up again.

The last suggestion was that it could be the fuel filter? I don't know much about the mechanics of cars. Any help is appreciated!!!

Thanks,

Gamma239.

could be so many things, if mine i would first do the cheapest, new air filter and clean the map sensor.
would possibly try a used throttle body if it was cheap but you can go on and on, always trial and error with no codes.
and remember to check all electrical plugs ecu and fusebox for any water ingress.

Hi stripe88,

Many thanks for your suggestions. I'll take the car to the mechanic again.

Thanks again for your time : )
