Default 207 cc High pressure fuel pump

Hello all,
I've just found out that I need a new high pressure fuel pump on my 150 bhp turbo by Peugeot, they want 846 to do the job. I notice on ebay that the price of a new one for a Mini Cooper is a lot less than for a Peugeot one. My question is are they the same, would the Mini Cooper one fit and work?

Also, where is the pump located? and is there a low pressure pump as well? and lastly is there an external fuel filter? (Euro car parts list one for my car)

The HP fuel pump is driven off the end of the inlet cam and bolted to the cylinder head (between the battery and the engine).

The low pressure pump is part of the fuel sender unit in the fuel tank.

Cars made for a "dusty atmosphere" have external fuel filters, ie. not cars delivered to the UK and most of western europe.

if it's the n14 engine one from the mini cooper then yes it's fine, can get them.on eBay for around 350 quid from a seller called Neo Brothers IIRC.

should really also replace the feed pipe to the injectors so you have a perfect seal, that's around 40 quid from a dealer
