Default 207 key 3 button fob

thanks shep64 I have tried that but it did not work thank you for the suggestion .I have seen a link where it talks about removing battery terminal for 10 mins then doing certain operations through the open drivers window I was hoping that this method would work on my 207 estate.???

Try this Pete.

Put key in ignition and turn it on fully WITHOUT starting.
Then press the locking button on the key for around 5 secs.
Turn off and remove key.
Wait around a minute and try your central locking.

When changing battery, it's usual to remove inadvertently the transponder (like a small square stone inside fob) or put it in a wrong position. Check if it is well located inside fob and try again.

Full procedure to synchronize fob:

-turn switch ignition to position ON (one position before start engine)
-Press and hold fob lock button for 10 seconds
-turn switch ignition to OFF position
-remove key from ignition switch
-wait 5 seconds
-try if locking/unlocking works using FOB

Hope it helps,

erick
