Default 207 1.6 gt hdi

Does anyone know how to remove the cigarette lighter? Needing to get into the wires to wire in footwell lights, cheers.

Looking at Haynes you have to remove the centre console upper trim panel to access the wiring connector and release the socket.

It is the panel which surrounds the gear lever. It reads like there is quite a bit of trim to remove first.

Run a wire from the interior light, then they will come on when the doors are opened. From the cigarette lighter they will always be on with the ignition. If you really want them on all the time its probably as easy to run your wire from the cigarette lighter fuse in the fusebox. But to get to the lighter socket there's a but under the cupholder, 2 torx screws behind the bars either side of the radio and another two somewhere around the ash tray part and that's all if I remember correctly from the top of my head

Yeah I want them on all the time cause the lights I got have a remote on them to turn them off and on, okay I'll have a look for the torx later cheers!
