Default 207 1.4 VTi jerky acceleration

Hi, has anyone had and fixed this fault?

When revs hit around 2500 rpm, we get what can only be described as kangarooing for around the next 2000 revs or so, most noticeable in 3rd gear on half throttle but does do it in all gears.

It’s been checked by a Peugeot specialist and they can’t find the cause and tell me they’ve checked the chain etc, also has the latest software on the ecu.

Our scanner won’t communicate with it unfortunately so I can’t say if any codes stored but no engine light has ever been present.

Has anyone experienced this on the VTi engine?

Many thanks,

Paul.

could be almost anything, but could try a bottle of redex in the tank see if any better or the same.
