Default 207 1.4 HDi vacuum pump not seating correctly

Hi there. I am puzzled-it doesn't take much!
I took off the camshaft upper bearing housing ( CUBH )to renew the gasket. 207 1.4 HDi
After refitting I went to put the vacuum pump on and noticed that the cylinder head( CH)and the CUBH did not line up where the vacuum pump sits.
Looking at the vacuum pump, its face also has a lip.
At first I thought these 2 lips would cancel each other out, but NO, they add to leave a 1/16" gap on the top half where the vacuum pump and CUBH meet
The gasket does not fill the gap.
Anyone come across this before?
All suggestions welcome - cheers
