Default 206cc and 207cc - roof seals - lube

Hello folks,

what do you recommend for treating/lubricating the roof seals for the cabrio models?
It's a sunny day today and the roofs are down but Autumn and Winter are on their way and I'd like to keep the seals/gaskets around the roof soft and flexible.
Someone suggested using silicone brake fluid but I'd appreciate a second opinion.

I use Halfords silicone spray on the daughters 207cc and door rubbers on all the family cars to stop door and window rubbers freezing to doors etc and it works fine. (I used to use a smear of Vaseline until i got grief off the wife when she got it on her skirt )
