Default 1.4 16v rough idle and stalling

Hi all,

As above, my wife has a 58 plate 1.4 16v sport with 36k on the clock.

About a month or so back I noticed that the idle on start up from cold was fluctuating and not steady. I recently had the car serviced thinking this may be the cause but it hasn't made any difference.

This morning was a bit of a cold one and the car started up fine but then stalled on 3 occasions.

Oil, coolant etc seem fine, no fault lights on the dash so I'm at a loss with this one.... Once the car is up to temp all seems to be ok....

If anyone could shed some light on this, it would be great.
Cheers

oh right, so nothing mechanical? Thank the lord for that then.....

Its amazing how one minute the car runs fine and then the next the software settings seem to alter or something, I haven't a clue how it all works...

How much should a software update cost?

Thanks for your response
