Unhappy *Peuget 207 GT, 2007 starter problems *HELP!*

Please HELP... I am useless with cars and have just bought a stunning looking Peugeot 207 GTi 2007 model with 80,000 miles on clock - too good to be true?!
First day it drove fine; Second day it started fine then when I re-started a couple hours later it would not turn over yet the battery was working (lights, windows etc fine)
I had to get help bump startiing it.
Then today, Day 3, nothing at all! Still the battery works but when I turn the key it clicks but will not start.
The battery on the key immobiliser has always been dead (don't know if this is relevant or not)
I don' t want to spend a fortune taking it to a garage if it is a simple issue,
I am useless with cars and mechanics and really don't want ot get ripped off.
*PLEASE ANYONE*

Default Battery

Defiantly sounds like the alternator. Battery was fully charged and then it wasn’t. Test the voltage at the battery when car running (after fully charging the battery with an external charger). Should see an increase in voltage from idle to running. If not. Change the alternator

Ok thanks for that.
I noticed this morning that there was a leak coming on the driver's side by the wheel, must be something to do with this??

very unlikely....you need to stop guessing at relating faults...take advise from previous posts and get some experienced help...cars are not complicated if you know the fault finding procedure..thats gained by experience..good luck with your car tho..
