Exclamation my accelerator pedal sticks when im driving

My accelerator pedal sticks when im driving i have a 107 URBAN 2 TRONIC 1 semi automatic.

In the Haynes manual it states that in a multi mode transmission which i have there is no cable instead there is an electronic throttle body which is controlled through the wiring to the ECU and sensors on the throttle body?.

i have been to a garage they plug it in and stated its a gear box fault!!

any ideals on how to solve the problem

just looked up on Google and found that The Peugeot 107 had a recall notice:

This is on top of up to 400,000 top-selling Japanese cars now being recalled in Britain - among more than 7.5million worldwide - over safety fears that Japan's leaders admit is tarnishing the nation's hard won reputation for reliability.
There are concerns that the pedals fitted in the Peugeot Citroen and Toyota cars may stick when in the depressed position, causing a sudden acceleration.
Toyota is recalling 1.8 million of its models across Europe - including about 220,000 in the UK.
It comes as rivals Honda announced a recall of 172,000 of its popular Jazz models in Britain. It follows the death of a toddler in a car fire in South Africa that was sparked by a faulty electric window.
Peugeot Citroen said owners of the 6,700 UK vehicles in its recall would be notified by post to have their cars modified at no charge.
The recall affects petrol automatic, and petrol models with 'ESP' stability control, but no diesels.

A spokesman said: ‘PSA Peugeot Citroen has decided, in line with its stringent quality policy, to launch a similar programme for a selected range of Peugeot 107s and Citroen C1s which are produced in cooperation with Toyota in a shared plant.
'This precautionary recall concerns less than 10 per cent of Peugeot 107s and Citroen C1s in circulation in Europe.'
Last year the company sold 30,900 Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107 models in Britain, and has sold nearly 120,000 in the UK since the ranges went on sale in 2005.
The global recalls of Toyota cars and trucks has swollen to about 7.5million vehicles, almost as many as it sold worldwide in 2009.
Japanese Trade Minister Masayuki Naoshima sounded a note of alarm about the tarnished reputation of Toyota: ‘The scale of the recalls is huge.

‘The situation is serious. It points to the possible dangers a global economy can bring.’
The president of Toyota, Akio Toyoda, said: 'We're extremely sorry to have made customers uneasy.
'We plan to establish the facts and give an explanation that will remove customers' concerns as soon as possible.'
Steve Fowler, editor of consumer magazine What Car?, said: ‘Japanese companies like Toyota and Honda have worked for years built up huge reputations for reliability.
'Recalls on this scale are a pretty bad thing.’
Toyota said its models being recalled in Britain as a result of the faulty accelerator pedal were: the Aygo (Feb 2005 – Aug 2009), iQ (Nov 2008 – Nov 2009), Yaris (Nov 2005 – Sep 2009), Auris (Oct 2006 – 5 Jan 2010),Corolla (Oct 2006 – Dec 2009),Verso (Feb 2009 – 5 Jan 2010), Avensis (Nov 2008 – Dec 2009), RAV4 (Nov 2005 – Nov 2009).
