Default ABS Kicking in at low speeds

OK, I have googled the hell out of this one and can not come up with a viable answer.

Car 2009 107
Issue the ABS kicks in during normal breaking, I first noticed this when coming off a dual carriageway, breaking on the slip road, normal breaking the ABS activated and the car dived to one side. the pedal was pulsing so it was the ABS

The brakes also activate at low speed under light breaking.

We took it to a garage, they tested it and reported that all sensors are functioning ok according to their diagnostics tools. This pointed to the ABS pump, they sent this away for repair but it came back no fault found, they charged us 170 for the privilege and gave us the car back still with faulty brakes.

We did take the car back and they said they would investigate further, but after having the car for a week they still had not touched it, so we saw our Ar55 and took the car home.

I do not want to pay another garage to change parts until they hit the jackpot, and out bank balance hits rock bottom.

Any ideas.

P.S my wire also reported that on one occasion she pressed the brake pedal when coming to a roundabout and there was nothing, the pedal was OK but the car would not slow and she went straight over the mini roundabout, luckily it was clear of other traffic.

Any advice on what to look at.

This is a very common issue on Mk1 307s. On that car its the ABS sensor gap. I'd probably start there.

The brakes on a 107 are not really the same as a 307 though Gibbo as its really a toyota

Sounds to me like the ABS computer is having trouble with the signals its getting from the wheel sensors so its does not know what to do the most common issue on most ABS cars is as Gibbo says sensor gaps just because their computer seen the signals does not mean the signals are clean or indeed stable.

The car is also a toyota aygo and citroen C1 so might be better info on 1 of those forums as they are common cars.
