Default 107 gears playing up

My wifes 107 is having trouble getting in to gear and when I say trouble, hurting your arm to get into gear.

It always seems to be when it's been standing for hours (e.g.. night or work) then once you get going it slowly goes away.

I thought it might of been gear box oil so I got under the car and changed the oil.

It seemed to be going well for 24 hours then took it out on my own to go to the shop. I had trouble getting it into reverse, as I need to reverse to get going I had to force it in. As I am driving home first three gears are really having trouble getting in and my reverse is crunching to get it into reverse.

Anyone got any ideas whats going on....i have a horrible feeling in my stomach is telling the clutch is on its way out.
