Default Shims for 106 diesel valve clearances

Does anyone know of a reliable supplier for these? Peugeot no longer offer them.

CFM Engineering Ltd
Many years ago I hired a box of assorted 106 shims from these guys.? If they still have them?? this is the best option, you just replace the 8 you use with the 8 left over from your engine and pay for the hire.

Default Great idea!

Thanks Pug - this is a clever way for someone to supply what's needed. It's true the shims themselves just don't really wear out, it's all the rest of the build of valves etc, that shift around over time. I will look into that site.

I have a complete set,100`s,of Peugeot XU engine valve shims but never got hold of any 106 diesel ones.
Now then?? I have this memory that 106 diesel shims are the same as a Fiat one? could I be right??

I don't know if the XU or any Fiat shims are the same or not. I will ask my mechanic.

The Peugeot XU engine shims are completely different. Its just this topic has stirred some sort of memory of mine that 106 diesel shims are the same as a Fiat one?
Remember this is old stuff so maybe an old school engine builder is the man to ask.
