Default Plugging up the hole in my wife's rear end

So, my wife's 106...

It got a bit rusty, so I had a poke.

Then, I introduced it to the angry grinder...

More chopping got done, then I got out the (very) hot glue gun and stuck some new metal in.

It's nice to see you doing the welding, most people would have scrapped.

I have welding to do on my 106 front end.

Great job... I did exactly the same...
gasless welding , bit by bit, and a found discarded boiler cover !

The more I looked the more needed doing !

Holes in boot too, and other wheel arch, underneath etc
Cheers
Liam

Another year, another MOT...

Passed with no work this time though, advisory (or whatever the kids call it now) on the arch the other side, so a job for winter.

Good to hear !
it lives to see another year

My MOT tester must've got a poking stick for his birthday...as he went round the car poking , looking for holes...
(maybe due to the new MOT laws?)
anywho, he poked an 8 inch hole under the front wheel arch...

The welding is gasless...4 a reel...but it's a pain grinding down.
Maybe I'd get some gas if I was doing more...but all this cost 1.23, including a 60p mars bar

ps my dipstick was being a dipstick, and the top broke off !
went to gsf, but they have the ccompletely wrong one listed for the car !
peugeout have them , but at 15 a pop ...

I decided to improvise...
Spamtacular ! -

Cheers
Liam

The new MOT rules are no stricter on corrosion than before from what I can tell.

The bit that's getting a lot of people is that an engine management light being on will now be a fail...

Took the 307 for MOT today too, thankfully the little triangle light being lit isn't a fail yet
