Default Peugeot 106 gear linkage

Hi im a trainee mechanic and iv got a problem with my gear linkage and not too sure about it part of the linkage poped off when i changed to sencond gear and iv been adviced to change it i was just wondering how long it would last if i left it or how easy they are to change any help would be much appreciated

if its popped off once it will do it again. The parts aren't expensive especially from eurocarparts and not difficult to change at all.
Where abouts are you based? there could be someone round the corner from you with experience of doing these or even spares in their shed

Im based in colchester and eurocarparts haven't got any in any of their departments and iv spoke to a couple more and knowone seems to stock them i was thinkin about going to peugeot see if they have any and thanks for the advice

part 4 in the pic is about 25 from dealers and part 5 is about 30 assuming its one of those

How easy is it to fit a cv gator to a 106 its a patern part but not sure if i have to take drive shaft out or not
